Wedding: Hopkinson & Maki, Chenoweth Woods, Sebastopol, CA (Saturday, August 29, 2009)

My little sister, Sandra, got married to Ben on Saturday.  The wedding and reception was set under a canopy of redwoods.  The wedding was picturesque with personal elements sprinkled throughout.  There were Chinese traditions, since she served as a missionary in China for over 5 1/2 years. Ben's and Sandra's journal entries were framed for the reception table settings. Close friends and family all contributed to putting this wedding together including but not limited to the coordinating of the wedding and reception, the making of the bridal bouquets, bootineers, center pieces, and the story book wedding program.

I had the privilege of standing up for her as 1 of the 6 women in the bridal party and my boys were the ring and red shoe bearers. I took some pictures while we were getting ready as well as some at the wedding site including the "first look" photos of Ben and Sandra.   Once the ceremony got started, I retired my camera for the evening in order to enjoy the rest of the wedding and reception with family and friends.  What a wonderful, beautiful day full of smiles, laughter, and tears! Sandra was a ray of sunshine on this magical day.

Here are some pics of Sandra getting ready I'll post more tomorrow of the "first look" photos and wedding site.
