On the outside this wedding nestled in the mountains of Los Gatos, is a gorgeous, seamless blend of color and charm crafted by the bride, Courtney, with floral coordination by Chestnut & Vine. But the unabridged, uncensored layer of this beautiful wedding, is it’s soul--a celebration of family and love. Courtney’s dear father lost his battle with cancer not too long ago—yet the helicopter that flew overhead at the exact moment when Courtney’s brother was giving her away to Keith, was a special reminder of Dad, and how he always made an entrance and full of life, strength and beautiful energy (see photo below). Patrick Reed, I dedicate this blog post to you. If it wasn’t for you 5+ years ago giving me a chance to photograph Casey and Ben’s wedding when I virtually had no prior wedding photography experience, I would not have been blessed to have met and been a part of so many beautiful moments in your family’s lives. country, backyard wedding {Kellee & Mike} private residence, san jose, ca

I am been very excited to share this wedding. There are so many many wonderful and yummy details. The bride's, Kellee, folks live in the hills in San Jose. So when Kellee and Mike decided to have their wedding in her folks' backyard was nothing short of perfect, personal, fresh and fun. And it isn't any typical backyard. A pond and canoe are at the edge of the property overlooking the most amazing view! There was an organic fruit and vegetable stand for guests to take home. Did I mention the fresh lavender that guests threw at the couple as they processioned down the aisle?! There was an old typewriter that guests could write private messages to the couple. And even their invitation was a vintage 45 record. I could go on and on. The bride glowed in her lace dress and wild flower crown and bouquet by Crimson Horticultural Rarities. The groom was damper in his bow tie and suspenders. And the guests wore smiles throughout this beautiful day. Kellee and Mike, Wow! Your wedding day was beyond special. rustic, elegant lakeside wedding {Lindsay & Diego} west shore cafe & inn, homewood, tahoe, ca

When West Shore Cafe & Inn serves as your wedding venue, you can be sure that the setting is gorgeous and the food is delicious. Lindsay and Diego's wedding was the perfect setting for the lakeside early fall wedding. Diego has a passion for boating so having the wedding set on water was very important to Lindsay and Diego. There were many highlights of the day but one that particularly stands out is sneaking off with the Lindsay and Diego for a twilight cruise on the Wild Goose II. The peaceful stroll over the lake was extremely romantic and offered the couple a time to reflect. Lindsay and Diego, What a dream day!
