A train roundhouse full of beautiful full-size trains...

2 boys with a passion for trains...

PRICELESS (if only they didn't want to play with Thomas the Train set for the first 45 minutes when we have one at home. :)

Actually, once Erik and I got them to the other part of the museum, they were in awe of the "ginormous," life-size trains.  We even got to see the train engineers "drive" (is that what trains do, drive?) 2 engines (1 steamy and 1 diesel) out of the museum roundhouse and onto the turntable.  Charlie was amazed and plastered to the window in wonder along with 1/2 dozen other kids and adults.  On our way to dinner in Old Downtown Sacramento, we stopped to watch the trains that were brought out of the roundhouse. With the engine of the diesel roaring, Max says holding his ears and onto Daddy, "Too loud, Daddy!"
